Surgical mission to help the Rohingya refugees

In a joint effort between the David Nott Foundation, the Union of Medical Care and Relief Organisations, and Syria Relief; David took part in a medical mission to Bangladesh in November.

The doctors were there to help the Rohingya refugees fleeing the violence in Myanmar. At a makeshift clinic at Kutupalong refugee camp in Cox’s Bazaar, the doctors held some 40 consultations in the outpatients clinic and performed 17 surgeries including operations to remove bladder stones, incarcerated hernias and a cancerous tumour.
