OUR IMPACT

Saving lives and limbs

Global disparities in access to safe and affordable surgical treatment have become an increasingly urgent problem. According to a 2015 report in the Lancet, 16.9 million lives were lost in just one year due to conditions needing surgical care. That figure accounted for 32.9% of all deaths worldwide, and more than all the deaths from HIV/AIDs, tuberculosis and malaria combined.

By supporting the David Nott Foundation, you can be part of the solution. We believe every patient deserves to be treated by a highly qualified, knowledgeable doctor who has received the best surgical training available.

Operating on a global scale

David Nott has spent the last 30 odd years practicing surgery across the war-torn, disaster-struck countries of the world. From Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria to Chad, Libya and Haiti, he has worked to transform the lives of doctors and the outcomes for patients suffering from the most extreme trauma.

The role of our Foundation, and the doctors, donors and sponsors who support us, is to continue this incredible story. To date, we’ve trained 1500 doctors and delivered 47 courses around the world. Our work makes an immediate impact on the ground and leaves a legacy of better education and health for years to come.
